Alliance Prayer for Chained Dogs

Week of January 18, 2004
This
week we pray for all the dogs who are suffering through this
cold snap due to their guardian's ignorance and neglect. Every
year, humane society and animal control officials see countless
incidents of frostbite-many fatal-that could have been prevented
by simply bringing dogs inside. We pray that these poor lonely souls
who are suffering be discovered by a compassionate passer-by who
will get involved and take the necessary steps to help them by rescuing
them, reporting them to authorities or confronting the people in
their warm homes. We pray, too, for enlightenment for all the dog-owners
who think so little of their best friend that they care not for
their safety and well-being. We pray that one day, all animals
will be treated with equality and respect, and there will be NO
MORE CHAINED DOGS!
