Chain
Off 2010 RESULTS
Freedom for Chained Dogs

A total of about 15 protestors came to DFW's 2nd annual "Chain Off". About 75 brochures were handed out. We stood on a busy street where we got lots of passing cars. Some stopped to ask what we were about and we mostly got positive feedback from the public. Many were not aware of the intensity of the problem in our DFW metroplex, to which I explained it is because they are behind privacy fences; i.e. unseen, forgotten and enduring the cruelty of neglect.
We got local media coverage, Chs 33 and 4. Before the reporter started the interview, he told me about a rottie in his neighborhood, crammed into a small cage, and calling the Police twice had not been conducive to any results. He was supposed to email me the address, otherwise he showed a lot of gratitude re what we were doing. The powerful graphics on the signs projected our message quite well.
A warm thank you to Animal Connection of Texas, a local DFW Animal Rights organization for making this event happen for the second year in a row. (In order to get the broadcasted clips of several seconds, I would have to spend $200 to buy it from some co, thus no clips are attached.
