Chain Off 2009
Freedom for Chained Dogs the World Over

Southeast, Missouri
June 12, 2009

Even though I didn't register for the 2009 Chain-Off, I did participate by doing a last day Chain-Off in my front yard on July 12.

Living in a very rural area in Southeast Missouri, there wasn't a lot of traffic Sunday, but I had 8 people to stop and make a donation. And, for those who passed me by, I hope they at least read my DDB sign and gave it some serious thought.

I had planned on being chained for 8 hours, but a storm brought it to an end after 5 hours. I didn't eat or drink because I really wanted to know how it felt to be hungry and thirsty, like so many chained dogs must feel. All I can say is that it was a MISERABLE feeling being on the end of a 6 ft. chain.

I hope I helped bring awareness to the plight of chained dogs.
