Chain Off 2009
Freedom for Chained Dogs the World Over

Pompton Lakes, NJ
June 27, 2009

First I would like to say that I sent a press release before the event to a local News station and also a local paper..nobody came to see what it was all about.  I have since sent a pic  and another press release and I am hoping to at least get it printed in the paper.  I am already planning a big Chainoff event for next year with my vet behind me 100 percent.

Ok Now for how I felt about this exp.

First I would like to say that I had alot of contact with the public, many people do not realize that this is such a problem, I spoke in depth to so many people that I hardly had a voice left at the end of 10 hours.  It was 85 degrees and I was in the direct sun for most of the time on the Chain..I wore a heavy choke collar attached to a very heavy chain that I lugged around in front of the animal hospital for 10 hours..I was miserable..I hate the heat and I dont like to be cooped up...I could walk around and hold the chain and adjust the choke collar when it got really uncomfortable..a dog cannot do that..I always felt that it was wrong to chain or pen a dog up, but now I know first hand how horrible it really is. Its uncomfortable and boring, it could drive a dog mad.    Public awareness is the key and I am on board for the next Chainoff and I hope to hold a huge Chainoff event in 2010!
