Cassidy
Cassidy
was one of what we called the Georgia 30 (we believe,
but have lost the e-mail that went came with her beautiful pics...if
you know this dog, please contact us asap at ddb@dogsdeservebetter.org
so we can make sure our story is straight). While DDB has helped
get many of these dogs out, there are still some there in desperate
need of rescue...if you can help them, please visit this
link and/or e-mail Chrissy at gtigger719@aol.com.

Chia
Chia
Akita was rescued in Indiana by DDB reps Marie Belanger
and Jamie Oswalt at the ripe old age of 10 after living
chained and/or penned (both at different periods) for her entire
life. She was transported to Tammy in Pennsylvania to be fostered,
but there she proved to be a bit too frisky for the kitty population.
Luckily, we were very blessed to find her a foster/home in Johnstown,
Pennsylvania, where she is now happy and loved,
and spending her last days inside as part of a family with Chris
and Lexi. In fact, we hear that Chris is complaining that Chia is
now getting all the lovin'!

Douwe
Douwe
is a Pennsylvania chained rescue, working on her second calendar
appearance (hey, she's photogenic, what can we say!) She
is always out walking the fields with her mom, dad, and doggie brother,
a far cry from her life alone, 6 months old, full of energy and
straining to get off her chain!

Flag
Flag
was a very early Pennsylvania chained rescue, found running
along with his chain dragging behind him. Flag is a high-energy
breed similar to a German Longhair (no wonder the chain couldn't
contain him!), and because of that he has found his way back into
rescue again. Now that he's five years old, he's MUCH calmer than
he used to be, and is looking for a home that wants an active
boy to love. He's been going for walks with Tammy's pack
in the woods, and is so good he sticks right with them without a
leash! He's been to basic and advanced obedience, is a very intelligent
dog. If you can give Flag a home with some activity and mental stimulation
as he deserves, please call us at 814.941.7447.

Sonny
Sonny
was rescued from his chain, living under a trailer
after his caretaker passed away unexpectedly...a kindly neighbor
who was taking care of him and feeding him called and asked us to
take him into our rescue, which we gladly did. Now he travels
with his mom, dad, and doggie brothers and sisters on family vacations...we're
always getting great pictures of their adventures!

Taz
Well,
we just LOVED this picture of Taz running with his caretaker Jonas,
but it didn't fit with our design style of the others, so we made
up a new one! Taz was rescued from a pen in Ohio this spring
after his caretaker died, and he went to live with rep
Lois Rose until finding a new partner, Jonas Byrnes of PAWS Professional
Pet Care. A Star is Born!
